The 6th Annual Pebble Creek Golf Ass'n Buddy Trip

After 5 years at the same location for our annual Buddy Trip, I decided to look around and go to a new destination.

I investigated many opportunities, but settled on one in Kissimmee, FL.  Remington Golf Club & Kissimmee Bay Golf Club are only 1 mile apart, but are two very different tracts.  One is fairly wide open while the other is oak tree lined and very close.  We are going to alternate the courses every day with the morning round our individual games and the afternoon rounds will be scrambles or two man best ball.

The total cost per person this year will be $250 for lodging and golf (4 days, 3 nights, 6 rounds of golf).

The lodging will be a 4 bedroom house for each foursome.  Each house is equipped with WiFi, flat screen TV's and a swimming pool. My house has a full size pool table in the garage. With this, each foursome can plan their own meals, or venture out. Kissimmee's main drag is not far away.

I took a day off and four of us ventured over (about 1 1/2 hour drive) yesterday.  I arranged for us to play the front nine on each course so we could get an idea of the layout and course conditions......From the comments last night, I think we hit a home run with this setup.  I know it's 5 months until our mid-June trip, but I already have 23 signed up (15 have paid deposits).

If you are interested in booking a Buddy Trip.....check it out.

Two courses, Four Days, Six rounds of golf, 24 golfers......Life is Grand!

Shot a 91 today, course was terrific. Club staff were awesome...Tomorrow, we tackle 36 holes at their other course just a mile away. Morning is individual points and the afternoon round is a 4 man team Scramble, then a Group Dinner at the Clubhouse.

Shot a 90 at Kissimee Bay on Friday; then back at Remington on Saturday with an 87 and a 91 on Sunday.

Great trip, a little drama from the previous group leader, he got drunk, did not get his way when I cut the afternoon rain delayed scramble to only nine holes. I had a group dinner planned for that night and would have to cancel it if we played the Kate 18. Well, he got mad and called his wife to come get him. BTW, the group dinner was a success, excellent food, superior service from the club and a great time. This was the first time in six years that a group dinner was held.

My concept of a Buddy Trip is play golf, but also socialize with everyone.

End result was a great time was had by 23 of 24 guys.....I call it a success.
