Wannabegolfer67
No, I am not getting my head examined I am going to see my club pro for help!! As I have previously discussed with some of you, to say that I am having trouble hitting my driver is about like saying the Titanic had a small leak! I have adjusted and tweaked this & that and have tried everything I could think of on my own but figured it is way past time to get help from someone that knows what they are doing. Anyway I have an appointment to see if I am beyond help or if he can help me start bombing the ball like Dustin Johnson or Bubba Watson (yes I know I'm dreaming!) Hope to report back some good news. Today, I will do what others will not so that... Tomorrow, I will do what others can not

This will fix you right up.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncjx9kPoHlc&feature=youtube_gdata_player My favorite all-time instruction video--it describes my thought process exactly as I start my takeaway through the top of the backswing! I have to think a bit faster than he talks to fit it all in before I pull the trigger at the top and start loading my power package! So I went to see the pro this afternoon & it turns out Highfade was absolutely correct...98% of the problem is in my head.... That and getting way too quick....as soon as he got me slowing down my swing I started making good solid contact with the ball. I still have a long way to go but even the slightest amount of progress is far more than what I was getting on my own. On a positive note, the pro used one of those things that mounts to your club and mates to an iphone & it showed that my swing plane actually looks pretty good, so I was proud of that. I am going back next week for another lesson so we will what happens. Today, I will do what others will not so that...
