Anyone going to Pinehurst for the US Open?

I'm going to be in Pinehurst for the entire week of the Men's US Open this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Golf Spies will be in town as well. I visit Pinehurst a couple of times every year, so I'll be glad to answer any questions about the area as best I can. I'll be working as a marshal on hole 6 on Monday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon.  It might be fun to get together for a beer at the tournament itself, or in town somewhere.  If anyone is interested in getting together, perhaps this post can be a central "organizing point".

It's going to be great seeing the Open return to PH. Especially since Crenshaw and Coor got hold of it.

I've played #2 a couple of times, most recently this past September.  All the Bermuda rough is gone, replaced by what was apparently the original very sparse ground cover growing in the native firm sand.  I think many of the pros are going to hate the unpredictability of these  areas.  A foot off the fairway they can either be on a perfectly fine bare sand lie, or dead behind a hump of spike grass.  It'll certainly be interesting.
