Trigger Pulled and Mannkrafted is ORDERED

After trying putter after putter after putter, and knowing LaMont for a while as well, I've decided to pull the trigger and order my first Mannkrafted.  LaMont has always been honest and open with me about anything I've asked him and he and I chat on occasion about various things, putter techniques, refinish techniques, etc.  He's as straight a shooter as they come and after getting to know him, he's as good a guy as there is out there.  

After the recent abberation that has been my putting and trying everything under the sun, I've never found one that suits the eye and my mind and putting stroke perfectly.  I know the aspects I like and the aspects I hate about putters.  So after careful consideration, I picked the design I wanted and worked it over from there and told him what I want.

Here's the design:
Widebody Rattler in 1018 Carbon Steel
Centershafted and facebalanced
Deep milled
Sound Slot
Rolled and softened topline and bumpers
Triple sitelines
Black Ox finish
Tiffany Blue and White paintfill
34" at 71* with 4* of loft
Between 360 and 370 grams

I told him minimal stampings I wanted and told him to go nuts on the sole with his artistic liberty there.  

Now the waiting game starts, and I'm STOKED to get to hear from him about it's progress.  I know LaMont won't let me down as he creates pieces of art.

Rookie, I just googled Mankraft wide body rattler and saw what your are describing......that is a sweet looking club. I am a mallet guy, but this is close.....and I like the weight....send us pics when you get it.

Looks a lot like my first putter I picked out for my self, a Brosnan something or other. I do like that shape. Hope it turns out how you want it.

I have 3 MannKrafted putters.  I highly respect all of these boutique putter makers but Lamont is my favorite.  Very original putters and great customer service!

I'll be doing a black polymer on the shaft on this one to see how it looks (never played a black shafted putter, which I mentioned to LaMont that I'd do a black polymer on the shaft after it got here if he didn't have a black shaft for it) and I'm going to likely change the grip to my favorite out there (Royal Grips STS Cord).  But other than those two changes, this sucker came out EXACTLY like I wanted it (and the grip isn't LaMont's fault.  They don't make those any more and it's possible I've bought all of them that were available in dead stock, lol.

The putter rolls perfectly. Played today in the rain (first time I've ever worn a rain suit) because I couldn't resist any longer. Distance control and everything were spot on. Control was perfect. Love the feel and sound off the face. Every putt felt pure. Now to get home and oil it. LaMont has his starting prices on his site Mannkrafted.com

I wouldn't want to play in the rain with a black ox putter since I've never owned one, I wouldn't tend to it properly or I'd forget to oil it.

I don't mind black ox, but I also don't mind the additional care it takes and I don't forget to put in the additional care on it.  That's exactly what I told LaMont as well.  To me, nothing is more beautiful than a black ox finish, but it takes lots of extra precautions.  I've already come home and cleaned it then oiled it down with a fresh coat of Eezox followed by some 0000 steel wool.
