PING G30 Tour Driver The Best. Made even Better.

Right on the edge of their several year release schedule, PING is building upon their exceptional G25 Driver with their new, sheer performance powerhouse G30 Tour Driver that further showcases PING's commitment to quality and optimal design. Since the G25's release in late 2012, PING engineers have been coordinating with developers, compiling substantial data from PING consumer input and testing, testing, testing via PING Man, PING Golf's mechanical swing robot first developed in 1976 and adeptly perfect at emulating normal human swing conditions along with crazy 150+ mph swing swing speeds --- to arrive at the next generation G-series 30.

With the huge success of the the G25, the new G30 makes “great” even better with new crown turbulator aerodynamics for measurable improvements that have reduced even further the driver's drag forces, which helps to increase your clubhead speed for even more distance. Also, PING updated the G30 with a new higher strength, lighter T9S titanium face that has saved four grams from the face area to help better position the G30's CG lower and farther back than the G25 for increased MOI and more club forgiveness. CG position optimization and increased perimeter weighting is enhanced even more with the G30's sole louvered thin walls that stabilize sound and have saved weight.

The G30 Tour driver is equipped with PING's Tour 65 or Tour 80 shaft that features a lower trajectory, even more added control, along with a premium Tour silver PVD finish look and feel and will have you swinging stronger and straighter than ever. The new G30 Tour driver is also available in a 10° or 12°SF (Straight Flight) TEC model that features heel weighting with a lighter swing weight to promote straighter ball flights.

Based on the best of the best PING has to offer. Built on the best of the best PING has developed through the years. And engineered with every aspect of aerodynamics, center of gravity, inertia, and weight positioning optimally designed to improve your game --- the new PING G30 Tour Driver is yet another magnificent milestone in Mr. Solheim and company's precise and exacting manufacturing history of making the best equipment that can be made for people to play, the very best they can, the hardest game in the world.

"PING G30 Tour Fairway Wood

The Best. Made even Better.

Right on the edge of their several year release schedule, PING is building upon their exceptional G25 Fairway with their new, sheer performance powerhouse G30 Fairway Wood that further showcases PING's commitment to quality and optimal design. With the huge success of the the G25 Fairway, the new G30 makes “great” even better with a larger, taller face and flattened crown that yields a more forgiving face along with a flatter visual appearance that instills confidence at address. The G30 Fairway Wood also features a uniform and thinner Carpenter 475 steel face that increases ball speed and maximizes face deflection. Progressive CG positioning, more forward in higher lofts and farther back in lower lofts, optimizes trajectories across all the G30 Fairway Woods and the ability to add/reduce up to 1° of loft gives you even more control to fine-tune trajectories.

Equipped with PING's Tour 65 or Tour 80 shafts that feature a lower trajectory for even more added control along with a silver PVD finish and Tour feel, the PING G30 Tour Fairway Wood will have you swinging stronger and straighter than ever.

Looks like they are going with a low-back model for the G30. I wonder what the 12 degree straight flight is all about?

Ping was always one of the leaders in longer and lighter for the driver.

I remember the G2 and G5 being 45.75" and having heads in the 190-194 gram range. I could never get to play my 44.75" length without a lot of lead tape.

The more recent Ping drivers have keep the same/similar stock length but with slightly heavier heads and slightly counterbalanced shafts. The G20/i20/i25 when reshafted to 45" with aftermarket shafts now don't come out to c7.

I would suppose the G30 would be the same, just wondering if the 80 gram shafted tour model is the same headweight or if the shaft is more counterbalanced.
