First ever fitting. What should I be looking for ideally?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. I went today to get fitted for iron shafts as I have been very frustrated with my x100s ballooning. I have never been fitted before and have not had anyone in my area that I totally trusted to do so. Recently I had been hearing about a guy who was doing fittings and did a good job. I went by today with my normal gamers plus some dg x7s I wanted to try. Like I said I have never been fitted before so I didn't even know my 6i swingspeed.

 

Previously tried PX7.0 and hated the feel/ Ball flight was good though.

KBS C-taper X Felt alright but hit the ball super high/ not ballooning just launched high.

 

 What kind of numbers should I expect for spin rate and ball speed as compared to club head speed? The guy used flight scope and seemed knowledgeable but he didn't have a huge selection for me to choose from as far as things that would fit me.

 

My gamers' 6i average was 101mph club head speed and a smash factor a little over 1.3... The spin rates were anywhere from 7000-8000. Are those numbers way off or do they seem semi accurate? Just trying to get some info from people who have been fit or actually have this equipment.

Just FYI, TrackMan has collected launch data on all types of players, and that info can he found on TrackMan site.  The long and short of it is that in an ideal world, your spin numbers would be lower by 1000-2000 rpm with a 6 iron. A general rule of thumb of for me is to multiply the club # x 1000 to get an approximate "good" spin number.  4 iron x 1000 = 4000 rpm....  9 iron x 1000 = 9000 rpm ect....

Absolutely!!  We use FlightScope here at our shop, and the numbers are spot on. I just referenced the FlightScope pages, because they posted the info and it was fairly easy to locate...

Thanks. I found it and that is exactly what I needed to check out. I appreciate the help, just didn't know if that information was readily available. I guess everything matches up pretty well so I definitely need to get my spin rate down.
