Los Cabos, Mexico (Dec. 4, 2014) – On a beautiful sunny day on a breathtaking site at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, golf legend and course designer Jack Nicklaus officially opened what may be the most majestic course on his resume, Quivira Golf Club.

Numerous dignitaries, resort executives, international media and property owners gathered for an official ceremony on the dazzling 7,139-yard course, followed by a ceremonial tee off on the 12^th hole with Ernesto Coppel Kelly, owner and developer of Quivira and Pueblo Bonito Resorts and Spas; Marcos Alberto Covarrubias Villasenor, Governor of the State of Baja California Sur; and Jack Nicklaus.

Also on hand for the gala occasion were Rubén Reachi Lugo, Secretary of Tourism of Baja California Sur; and Alberto Coppel, C.E.O. of Pueblo Bonito Bonito Resorts and Spas.  In a token of appreciation, Letty Coppel, co-owner of Pueblo Bonito Resorts and Spas, presented a silver whale to Nicklaus, who this week learned he is to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor, a prestigious civilian award.
