SPY VIP GolfSpy_X Posted July 22, 2014 SPY VIP Share Posted July 22, 2014 Interesting to see what Nike does with the future of this one. Just came off a MAJOR win where their top guy put this one in play. Lots of talk about the Driving Iron now just like we predicted last year. So which one are you most interested in trying? The Taylormade, Callaway, Nike...Mizuno? photo:Nike #TruthDigest

RookieBlue7
I'd much rather see a limited release of Rory's 006. Not the crappy Midnight version, but his with the rounded topline and bumpers and toe and the faux grooves. But reportedly there will be a release of it. Nike better not miss on it, release an identical version out of the Oven to like 500 pieces. This driving iron hype is always around The Open and they're functional clubs for less than 5% of the population. RookieBlue7
I got in under the #40 this morning for te set release. But I gave them the wrong work phone number. We moved into a new building last week and got a new phone number. When I realized it I couldn't get back on te list and after I finally got through to someone, they said they did call the number I left twice and had to move on. Sold out by that point. markb
Kudo's to MGS for posting the pic from the angle that reveals the polymer filled cavity. No other site or PR piece that I saw revealed this facet. I thought the MM Proto's were solid forged heads. CORRECTION -- I just went back and looked at a bunch of older picks of the MM Proto heads as being played on tour. THIS POLYMER SLOT IS NOT PRESENT IN ANY OF THEM. And it's clear from many photos that it would be visible if it were present. Rory's and Noh's WITB irons do not have polymer cavities. What give MGS? Which versions have the cavity and which don't? I think this must be a new and slightly different product. bag - SunMountain Synch with Ogio Synergy X4 cartdriver - Optiforce 440, Paderson Kevlar Green stiff 46.5"fwoods - Jetspeed, 3HL regularirons - Speedblades 3-8, 85g stiff steel, 2 upwedges - Scor 40, 45, 50, 54, 58putter - Ketsch 35" slight arc, SuperStroke 2.0 mid-slimball - ProV1x
