Like the local pro you mentioned- if I were a golf pro, or golf equipment sales guy, or someone who was trying to help fit golfers for clubs, I'd have been pulling my hair out over the past year and a half or so with the constant releases of new drivers alone. If I cared about actually getting people into the right equipment, that is.

Here's a pic of the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond (Yes, that is its full name) from Japan.  It's now the low-spin deep faced top dog in Callaway's ever-more-confusing kennel.

Big Bertha Double D..  She's Back, and Bigger than Ever..

Wow, I just checked another blog -- the one known to be deep in Callaway's back pocket -- and they have the official Callaway announcement of the BB 815 and Double Black Diamond today.   I don't need to copy the pics, they are what we've already seen.  

 

This goes to show that If you play by Cally's rules and refuse to discuss anything before the embargo date, you get the news and photos first.   Nothing wrong with that, if you want to get invited to the cheerleader's birthday party, you'd better not fart in class.  

 

So they post the news at 1:00 PM today and already they have 78 UNIVERSALLY POSITIVE comments on these clubs.   Everybody's "gotta have one", it seems.   Honestly, I haven't seen this many lock-step, "yes man" affirmations since Khuschev announced his picks for the Politburo in '59.

I like some of the newer Callaway stuff but to Mark's point they have become a little heavy handed with the handing of information and who gets what.
