There is kind of a cool article from RollingStone today.  One of the guys I went to high school with plays Golden Tee for a living.

The article is rather interesting and the fact that money can be made from it in bars as opposed to gambling, or "games of chance."

Any MGS'ers ever compete playing Golden Tee?

I watched a program about this on Golf Channel. It's amazing how you can earn a living playing a video game. It would be strange when asked, "What do you do for a living?" or having to write down "Golden Tee Professional" when filling out paperwork asking your profession. Or better yet, if you had to do a job interview, "Okay it says here you played Golden Tee for a living for five years; is this correct?"

There's leagues and stuff I knew that... there's some real money in golden tee and other video games especially at the higher levels.

Watching professionals play a video game can be an eye opening experience.  Like other professionals in other pursuits, they are on a different level.  I can only imagine the secrets and short cuts professional Golden Tee players know/perform.

Although I find the occupation to be pretty cool, I can't imagine it does wonders when applying for a loan.

They had a special on one day about it... the average player has to win just about every game on a given day to make a living.... plus win most tournaments. That kind of dedication is insane.

Whoa... if that isn't staged, there is a lot of therapy in someone's future. Hopefully it's group, family therapy.
