adidas KILLS IT for the Ryder Cup

Just my opinion, and as you'll see, adidas wrote the headline differently, but I'm a HUGE fan of what adidas created for their Ryder Cup staffers (have I mentioned that my dog's name is Ryder?).

 

Anyway...check out the blah blah blahs of the press release, but really, I think the photo says it all. pure 360, gripmore, and adizero One all totally pimped out for this week's business.

 

Makes me think we should do a golf shoe Pimp List before somebody steals the idea.

 

adidas Golf Reveals Custom Footwear for Staffers Competing in 2014 Ryder Cup

 

Limited-Edition Footwear Designed for Furyk, Rose, Kaymer, Gallacher, Garcia and McGinley

 

Carlsbad, Calif. (September 22, 2014) â€“ adidas Golf, an industry leader in innovation, technology and performance footwear, has announced a limited-edition footwear collection inspired by the 2014 Ryder Cup in Gleneagles, Scotland, continuing adidas' legacy of providing high-performance footwear for the best athletes in the world on sports' greatest stages.

 

By combining design elements with visual cues representative of each team's distinct color pattern, adidas Golf has created limited-edition pieces that accurately represent each team as they participate in the world's greatest match play competition. The full collection includes two unique designs (one representative of each team) for three of adidas Golf's most successful shoes in 2014: adizero one, pure 360 and adicross gripmore.

 

 

adidas Golf tour staffers in the 2014 Ryder Cup who will receive limited-edition footwear from the collection include Team USA's Jim Furyk and Justin Rose, Martin Kaymer, Stephen Gallacher, Sergio Garcia and team captain Paul McGinley for Team Europe.

 

Team USA

• Jim Furyk â€“ adicross gripmore featuring a tonal print of the USA flag with blue stripes, red laces and red gripmore outsole

 

Team Europe

• Justin Rose & Martin Kaymer â€“ adicross gripmore with blue stripes featuring yellow stars, yellow laces and a yellow gripmore outsole

 

·         Sergio Garcia & Stephen Gallacher â€“ adizero one featuring yellow stripes and yellow accent laces. Outsole features a blue plate with yellow accents

 

·         Captain Paul McGinley â€“ pure 360 with blue stripes and yellow laces, and a blue outsole with yellow accents

The limited-edition pieces were developed only for adidas Golf tour staffers participating at the 2014 Ryder Cup and will not be available at retail.

Very nice. Still waiting for a NikeID program outside of the TWs. Maybe adidas should beat them to the punch.

 

Are Adizeros the shoes that leave huge marks and are banned in a lot of UK courses?
