Anyone out there used the birdie ball for a training aid?  I just recently purchased this system and had my son out using them.  He absolutely loved it.  Wondering about success with a Junior Golfer with anyone else.  Thanks.

how well does it work? I'm interested in their greens... and liked the idea of a reduced flight ball.

I've got a Birdieball putting green in the basement.  As a "bang for your buck" green I think it's the best deal out there.  It rolls true and works as advertised.  My only complaint is the lack of a real cup.  Mine is in an unfinished basement on a concrete floor.  Great for getting it to lay flat, but since the mat is only 1/2" thick or so the ball just pops right right out of the hole.  I've considered several times building a frame for it and raising it a few inches so I could have an actual cup, but then I'd lose the ability to roll it up and put it out of the way.

As for the Birdieballs themselves, I've got a dozen or so and really haven't used them much.  The few times I have used them have worked out well though.  They do mimick the trajectory and curvature of a real ball, so you can practice your swing and trying to work the ball left, right, up, down etc...

The biggest reason I really don't use them is I live on the course so if I have time to practice it's easy to hop in the cart and hit the range, or just go play a few holes.  Also my back yard is big enough I can hit up to about 4i from just off the driveway into the course and not worry about any houses.

Bottom line though both are solid products and a very good value for what they cost.

I would reiterate what is said about the putting green.  I purchased one and think it is fantastic to putt on.  The holes are not deep, so the ball can pop out, but very nice to putt on.  The birdie balls seem to work well and my son loves hitting them in the backyard.
