  1. 1. Poulter is leaving Cobra.

    • Big loss for Cobra.
    • Not a big loss for Cobra.
    • Oh, he played what brand?

Glad to catch up here because I love to get our Euro's involved and active. Like them I think it's crazy to say that Poulter has done nothing, he's having a nice career for himself. Westy may be going too far in comparing him to Luke Donald who made it to World Number 1. That's serious despite the lack of a major.

Let's be honest if Poulter breaks through and wins a major he has the same career as Fred Couples without Fred's ordinary guy sort of personality. Another words he's a good player but no big loss for Puma because he's a lightening rod who's no longer a young up and comer.

I'm shocked at Titleist unless they are looking to change their image a bit.

I'm not so down on. Poulter as others here though.

Rev your right - perhaps I worded this wrong.

Poults is not the player Donald is, but poor old Luke he's a bit forgettable. Nice guy, can't imagine many people dislike him but....

I just think that unless Donald wins a major then he won't be remembered in the UK like IJP, it's unfair but that's life sometimes. in the U.S. it'll be different because Luke appears very popular as a product of college golf.

Rest in peace long sticks - I'll remember you

I personally do not see this as a big deal.  Cobra is Puma/Cobra and he has his own line of clothing.  Since this is the case, I would think he is a bigger catch for a club only OEM.  That means TMag, Nike, Cobra/Puma should all give him a pass.

This opens the door for Titleist, Ping, and Mizuno or even Cleveland (do they still make clubs?) or even Bridgestone.

He plays the Titleist ball so it will be a bigger deal to switch that also.

I see this as a huge gain for a club and ball only like Bridgestone or Cleveland/Srixon.

Cleveland still makes clubs. Some of the best IMHO, they just can't get the get the word out and Srixon the parent company is going to screw them like TM did to Adams.
