Just wanted to give a special thank you to Rookie for doing a huge favor to me.  When my basement flooded several months back most of my golf equipment, including all my putters, was under several feet of water.  While the putters survived pretty much intact my Adams MB2 irons did exactly what they were intended to do.....and that was rust.  Rookie offered his services to help salvage my set and through a lot of back and forth through email as well as a lot of work by Rookie my irons have made it back home safe and sound.  All I can say is that they are just spectacular looking and once I get them gripped up I will gladly post some pictures of his work.

 

The main reason that I settled on this forum as my golf home on the internet was the quality of the people here and Rookie is at the top of that class for me.  Despite all the hours that he works and never having met me; he took the time out of his days to take on this project without asking for anything in return.  For that I really have to say thank you from the bottom of my heart and hope to one day pay it forward in whatever way I can.  

 

Also wanted to thank the members that replied to his post on helping find some KBS shafts as these were for this set.  I appreciate all that offered help and in the end I decided that it was best to just pull all the shafts and start new since I was not sure what other damage may have been caused by the water.  Another solid reason why I am here and again a big thank you to the members of MGS.

We were going to try to come down before Christmas Rev. Now not sure lol. Might be spring break. The flu has been going through our house the last week. And I told Mike that I didn't do this to be thanked but because it was the right thing to do as a member of the community.

You did tell me that and I understand that this is just the type of person that you are.  That being said I also understand that time commitments that you have with work and family and to take away from that time to do something for someone you have never met deserves a public thank you.

 

I love playing golf, watching golf and talking golf and to be able to have the outlet that we have here makes me proud that I can have the opportunity to be a member of this great site.
