Jmikecpa Posted December 29, 2014 Share Posted December 29, 2014 In late October I purchased a counter balance Betti BB54 that rolls the ball great....and have it in the bag. A week later I decided that I wanted a Betti Queen B 5 after rolling a bunch of putts with it at the PGA Superstore; so I picked that up. Rolled a few putts with the new Scotty X5r and liked that so I added one of them to the stable about a week after that. Three new putters in three weeks should be enough to get me committed to an institution, but I then felt compelled to add an Odyssey Protype #5 CS, Ping Zing 2i and an Odyssey Ti Hot #2 to the putter room in the same day. I was organizing my golf room over the holidays and did a putter count and well that number even shocked me, but more to my dismay was that well over half of the putters that I own have never seen anytime in the bag and more than likely never will in the future. I think that i need to stop going to golf stores over the winter and delete the eBay app from my phone or I may have to add a new wing onto my house for golf stuff. I have even played 36 holes in one day with two different putters.....neither of which I owned until that morning. I'm trying to keep it in my bag for a long while. I think part of my problem with lack of consistency is just messing around and changing putters too frequently. This, plus putters can last a long time if taken care but shoes, not so much unless you hardly wear them. I would not qualify as a shoe ho, I have as many shoes as I do putters, two, an Odyssey and a TM Ghost Daytona, and a left and a right, muddy on the outside, smelly on the inside. My affliction is buying demo clubs on the cheap and ending up spending more money than if I am bought what I really wanted in the first place. I played in five or six tournaments this year that gave out shoes and they are all still in my closet in boxes since I generally only wear one or two pairs that I own. I played in some tournaments the year before that gave out shoes and they as well are still in boxes somewhere in my house. I am not sure that I can actually remember the last time I bought myself a pair of golf shoes. Shoes for work on the other hand....I get two new pairs every six months and have recently discovered that I like Italian leather a lot. I'm not going to talk about shoes, my wife laughs that I have more golf shoes than she has total shoes.
