Arccos Golf Signs Billy Horschel as Brand Ambassador

Recommended Posts

Ambassadorships/sponsorships always make for news - so seeing a "smaller" brand (maybe call it "newer") like Arccos Golf picking up a player of Billy Horschel's caliber should tell you something about how serious this company/product takes itself.

According to Accros Billy uses their product while practicing - you can track him yourself through their social media and see how you compare if you like.

“Using statistics to understand my game has been a real key to my success,” says Horschel. “Arccos is helping me take that knowledge to a whole new level. It's super easy to use and instantly provides data for every shot I hit during my practice rounds. Post round, it helps me analyze my performance like I've never before been able to do.”

With more than one player in the field of stat tracking - Arccos is turning heads in more and more ways.

We look forward to sharing our Stat Tracking Buyer's Guide later this year! In the meantime, if you're interested in Arccos - the system is $399 and includes 14 sensors that automatically track your round through Bluetooth connectivity with your iPhone.

Essential to the ARRCOS system is its proprietary Tour Analytics platform developed in conjunction with golf's most renowned statistician, Peter Sanders. Drawing from Sanders' work with PGA Tour star Zach Johnson and many others, it automatically breaks down a players' handicap into five key components – driving, approach, chipping, sand game and putting. This allows players to:

·         Gain insight into what every shot means

·         Understand exactly how each part of their game contributes to scoring

·         Explore comparative data in each of the five components from golfers with the same handicap

·         Evaluate patterns across their entire golf history, supporting refinement of on-course tactics

Now available at Apple Stores, select golf retailers and pro shops nationwide, and online at Amazon.com, ARCCOS is more than just a great tool for the individual users. Top instructors rely on the system to help their students recognize and correct faults, such as club distance gaps, noticeable shot dispersion patterns and other problem areas.

Led by a team of Ivy League engineers, rocket scientists, PhD's and designers, Arccos Golf is named after a function of advanced mathematics.

Has anyone tried this setup yet?

Did anybody get this for Christmas?

I wonder how it gauges the difference between a practice swing and a hit.

How much battery life does it take from your iphone for a round af golf?

We have questions..........anybody have answers?

Have tried to get a demo device from them. Was told 5 days ago that they would get back to me.

Arccos is too expensive at the moment when compared to Game Golf.

When it comes to signing Horschel - they're only doing it because Game Golf has GMac and Westwood.

Yeah, at $400 it is double the Game Golf system.  However, if you don't have to deal with a lot of the post round editing issues that Game Golf has, it might be worth it.

I reviewed their FAQ's........and found that they have a terrific sense of humor:

Will Arccos sponsor me if I make it to the PGA tour?

Yes.

I asked:  How much are extra sensors? As I sometimes take an extra driver in a practice round. Will the system detect both drivers?

Arccos Reply:  Extra sensors are $40 each, and that includes all taxes and shipping costs.  Our system only allows you to pair one driver at once, but you could make a second driver another club to see which on you are hitting better at a particular course.

I've got game golf and I'm only kind of impressed. REmembering to tag is a pain and then it does mess up the shots distances and such so there is a lot of editing needed after a round. Hopefully future updates will fix that. Accros would have been my choice but the phone (my battery is crap) and the $400 price were barriers for me.

I've heard that it has failed to register from a few people but I want to get my hands on one of these because I love the simplicity of it assuming it works well.
