Kor.A.Door
So I was thinking about trying the pistolero, I like the feel of it, but I went on line, ebay, they have many. I notice that they have some pretty cool colors, the sublime lime will go good with my putter, and I also lime the purple one. Here is the question, How in any world is a pc of rubber worth anywhere near the 90 dollars these people are asking for? I don't care who's name is on it, there is no way in he double hockey sticks that I would pay anywhere near that for a grip, these people are absolutely nuts. Jmikecpa
Welcome to the world of Cameron collectors....they are mostly nuts. The puttter I just bought has a leather Scotty Cameron Handcrafted grip on it and it is no different than a stock Gripmaster......just ten times the price. I figure if I was to part out the grip, the shaft and the headcover I could come close to covering 80% of what I paid for the putter. hckymeyer
Most of the cool colors are only available as custom shop offerings when you send in a putter to the spa. Since you can't just buy the grip seperate they command outrageous prices. If you just get black it should be much cheaper Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. whiskey golf
A while back one those grips first came out, I really wanted to get one but the prices were way too high for rubber grip.
Hula Rock
I agree some of the asking prices are insane. It's like designer jeans, you put a fancy name on it and you can demand 300.00 for a pair. Whats even crazier, the pistolero was not designed by S.C. It's a great grip for the flat stick, I have on one my S.C. California Monterey. Jmikecpa
If you are fine with black or red then you can get it for $21 right from the Cameron website or the same price at a PGA Superstore if you have one near you. Kor.A.Door
Yea, I can get the red or black for 20-25, I just thought it to be crazy the prices they are wanting because it's purple or lime. I just missed at an auction yesterday for a purple one, my guess is that for 35 bucks the guy selling had a buddy snipe me at the last second. I thought it odd that no one was bidding until 5 minutes left, and as I warched the time tick off I was the highest bidder, then after it ended it said you lost. My max bid was 36, selling price 36.99, coincidence I think not Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Jmikecpa
Just saw a white one on eBay for the low price of $150. But it has a Circle T on it....does that not make the $120 premium worth it? Kor.A.Door
I have a bunch of golf buddies that are titleist guys, and I also have one that works pretty high up in a golf chain, and he can get stuff, that's probably the direction I will go to get the red or black one, unless I can find the line or purple for decent Lefties are always in their Right Mind
RookieBlue7
Buy the black one. The additives in the rubber colors make them wear faster. The colored grips get slick much faster. Don't know why but they do. Same thing happens with GolfPride MCC's, that's why I buy the blackouts. Kor.A.Door
I asked the guy about the one that shows a photo of lime but in the description it says orange, and it is indeed lime, it is a pull, but still way less than the others for $35, so I bought it. fbluhm
Kor: if you're talking about the regular Pistolero grip, I've purchased them on ebay for around $20-$25 - red and black. I no longer use them because (1) they cost too much, and (2) they're much too thin for me. I've had three Camerons - Newport, Kombi, and Bullseye (`98 version). I've also got the first PING putter ever made, and it probably puts almost as well as my Newport, which I use now. Unless you have to have one of Scotty's overpriced grips, I'd go for other models that cost much less. I put the Golf Pride Crown (jumbo) on my Newport and love it. Could only get it on ebay. Can provide a photo. At the time, it was around $12. Also, in case anyone is interested, and haven't tried them yet, I've got the Golf Pride CP2 grips on my irons. Nothing has ever felt better in my hands, and I don't need to wear a glove when I play. Just some thoughts.
