I hit the R15 today and I was impressed and I hate TMAG so that's saying a lot!!! On a side note though the few folks who already own SLDR's and tested out the R15 have all opted for the SLDR. Might be worth just checking that out either way. I have read in many forums that the SLDR already has a heavy head weight, so you might end up head heavy if you add another weight. That's what I was thinking is counter weighting if necessary Remember, counterweighting will affect what a swing weight scale tells you. But it won't make it feel as light as the scale says it is. You're adding to the total weight and the amount of weight at the far end of the shaft won't change. That's what's swinging the fastest and what translates to what it feels like. I played 7.5 and 8 drivers for years and I'm in a 10.5° SLDR. We have similar swing speeds, so I just want to make sure you're gonna get what fits you best. I have a +5 AoA and with my 8* R1 with Fuji Speeder TS 7.2X, I was launching it at 17*. The 9* SLDR with the same shaft I couldn't get above a 14* launch. Went to the 10.5* and was gettting a 16.8* launch. Now, there is nothing wrong with 14*, but since the goal was 17*/1700, I went with the 10.5*. I played my first round with it monday while testing the Srixon balls and it performed great very long and low spinning and crazy forgiving.
