Pre-season Motivation

Man, around last November, I was the heaviest I had ever been, and my golf game has been in shambles. So, right then and there, I stopped drinking beer, went no carbs, started working out (60 push ups, 80 crunches and and 3 minutes of planking is what I am up to) each day, 1 days rest per week. I have lost 32 pounds, I feel better and I am hoping this translates right into my golf game!

in all seriousness JB - congrats man! That's a big commitment to make, but sounds like the right thing to do. I've started doing PiYo (4x a week) again just this last week - not to lose weight, but to strengthen my core, tone and flexibility. So far so good, but I've never done as many tricep push-ups as I have this last week and my arms are burning pretty bad. Early stages for me, but keep it up JB - I've no doubt you'll see some improvement on the course as a result.

Funny how once I made the decision, I just got into it and I don't see myself ever changing. The hard part was just starting it!

Yup...its the first few times that are the toughest.  Once you get going.....you start feeling 20 years younger.....and don't ever want to go back to the "old" you.

Congrats!

Time for me to start with the weights, again...  Gave my daughter her treadmill back after she moved into a new house, so I need to either get another one, or a stationary bike, too.
