2014 LPGA Rolex Player of the Year to Play B330-RX On LPGA TOUR in 2015

Covington, Ga. — Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball-Fitter in Golf, announced today that it is bolstering its world-class Tour Team with the addition of LPGA star Stacy Lewis. Lewis, a two-time LPGA Major Champion and reigning 2014 Rolex Player of the Year award winner, will join fellow Bridgestone Golf LPGA stars Paula Creamer, Jennifer Johnson, Ai Miyazato and Karrie Webb in trusting her game to the Bridgestone Golf TOUR B330-RX golf ball in 2015.

Lewis, who in 2014 became the first American player since 1993 to sweep all three of the LPGA's most prestigious season honors (Rolex Player of the Year, Vare Trophy (Lowest Scoring Average) and Money List title), will make her season debut using the B330-RX this week at the Coates Golf Championship at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club.

Bridgestone's TOUR B330-RX ball features the company's patented Hydro Core Technology. This one-of-a-kind technology provides golfers with swing speeds less than 105 mph longer distance and greater accuracy.

“I couldn't be more excited to become part of the Bridgestone Golf tour team,” said Lewis.  â€œBridgestone has firmly established itself as one of the top equipment brands in golf and after testing their B330-RX golf ball, I knew that was the ball to help me take my game to the next level.”

In her brilliant career, Lewis has amassed 11 LPGA victories thus far including 2 majors.  The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Stacy was using the Titleist ProV1x last year, so Bridgestone have done well to lure her to their Tour Team. Just to clarify, this is a ball deal only - not a club sponsorship deal.

Must gave her some nice $$$ to change balls. Hopefully it works out for her.

Interesting going from the PV1x to the RX.

I might have to re-visit this line for this year. I've been liking the lower compression uretahne balls like the FG Tour and '13 PV1. Tried an RX when they first came out and it was a little too soft for me at the time. But that was many years ago. Irons and wedges weren't going the distances I was accustomed to. (Little short.)

Got a half dozen of the new Z-star and Z-starx to try, as those have been good to me as well.

@ Both of you - we did a community test on the Bridgestone pro-line balls this time last year so they were the hydrocore ones.

Like Mr. Divots I had been unimpressed with the RX line in the past so much so that I insisted on testing the regular B330s.  I did make a sleeve trade with one of the RX testers though.

I can't tell you how impressed I was.  Unlike the first two RX editions these performed exactly as advertised.  I'm gaming them exclusively now.  I'm not as a big a feel guy as some but they do have a good feel off the club - I used Nike One Tour Ds for 3 years and never liked how they felt just how they performed.

For me the RX's have enough spin, fly far, launch nicely off the longer clubs - they work.

I'm glad to learn that Stacy is still playing Mizuno irons.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

Mizuno and Bridgestone.  Nice.  Its always nice to see a tour pro switch from, "the #1 ball in golf".

I bought a bunch of Tour D's on closeout years ago. I have one sleeve left. I'll have to check out the RX this year.
