[Bogey in The Woods]

I had read several of the posts from members who had redone clubs with custom paint. Then I just let it sit in my head.

 

Flash forward a couple of months. I am in the garage cleaning clubs after waiting a few days after my last round. I am notorious for leaving my clubs dirty way too long.

 

So I'm going through my clubs (Nike Coverts) and finally get down to my putter. It is a TM Rossa Ghost I got WAY used off EBay. You can see how beat up it was.

 

Well it really stood out in a bag of Nike Red. So I opened up my airbrush kit and enamel model paints and went to town. Now I didn't sand down to bare metal like I should. I cleaned real good and used alcohol to eliminate any residue. After drying, I taped it off and mixed some paint and went to town.

 

Now I know it isn't perfect, but at least I see what is possible and will now go out to get the real stuff I need for further clubs. Can't wait to find my next club to be made over.

Yea I have to admit that looks great! The red is unique.

 

Question...... Where was that putter before you bought it!?? That is more than a little worn. LOL

Now show us a pic of your bag with the putter in it.  I know the red putter will pop with the Nike red on the coverts.

Well, as it turns out, the paint I had in the garage was Testors model paint. Needless to say, after one round in my bag, it began to look like a red version of the before picture. Not to be discouraged, I am going to get some paint more suited to the application this time. I will simply refer to this first shot as a "proof of concept"
