I got one last round in the day before my surgery, and can only report that this ZStar ball remains on the short list of awesome balls. Looking forward to reading reports on the XV ball.

My wife is an avid Z-Star player (Yellow); won't play anything else. She says they just don't feel good. So, we went to the local golf store and they don't have any. On order. I gave her a new white Z-Star that I had from last year, but she would rather play with her old yellow ones.

One of the guys at the store gave me a promo sleeve of the new yellow Z-Star XV. She said it was like hitting a Top Flite. I didn't try it, but I did putt with it, and I didn't like it either. It was clicky where the old Z-Star was a soft muted feel. Even if I had a higher swing speed, I wouldn't play them because of the putting feel.

My golf store finally got the new Z-stars in last week and I bought a box of yellows for my wife.  She's been playing them and hasn't commented (complained) about them, so they must be as good as last years ball.  I might give one a try this weekend.

I am still loving the Z-Star. The weather has taken a turn for the wetter around here, and this is the time of the year that all of the courses are punching greens..  I might make it out to practice this weekend, but a round might be a week or 2 off...

Sounds like we are on the same pattern Mmmmmmmbuddy.  I know that it is any time in regards to greens being punched and the wet has come, the dry has gone, although today was beautiful - if it weren't for my wife I would have played today for certain.  :(

I actually tried to play this ball yesterday on a very windy day and it only lasted four holes for me. I played two down wind and one into the wind with the fourth is a crosswind. Just had a really hard time controlling the ball into the wind which is a deal breaker for me. This is just a real shame since from 100 yards and in it may be the best ball that I have ever played but the long game just does not work with this ball. I hit a hybrid into the wind with the Srixon and the ProV1x and the flight in the ProV was much more controlled and you could have built a Walmart between where the two balls ended up. All that being said I will give these another go when the wind is not a brutal.

I got a chance to play the Z-Star today in a little wind as well and I am thrilled. It felt nice off the driver for me and performed great off he irons and wedges. I especially love the feel while putting. Great stuff. I think this will be the the gamer for this season.

I have to say the XV is the ball that I am gaming right now.  I was very pleased with the test results when I compared the ball side by side with the ProV1x, so I decided to go ahead and get several dozen.  I have been able to get at least 36 holes out of most of the balls and they still play like a tour ball.

Thanks again for letting me be a part of this test.

I just completed a very lengthy online survey that was clearly put out by Srixon. Best golf ball survey I've ever participated in.

I'm loving the new XV.  I'm kinda surprised at the lack of green side spin, but the distance off the tee makes up for it.

I'm surprised you found a lack of greenside spin Bones... I haven't tried the XV, but the Z-Star has been the best for greenside spin for me. I'm down to the last of mine at the moment... may need to purchase more.

Z-Star and the Wilson Duo Spin have become my go-to balls this year.  Still finding the Z-Star spin with long or mid-irons to be amazing for me.  The Duo Spin is just an all around good ball -- spin isn't quite the same, but it's pretty darned good for a $26 ball.

Playing them about 50-50 this year -- very happy with both
