After a one week break, the LPGA travels to the continent of Australia for the ISPS Women's Australian Open. This tournament has a history of very close finishes. Who could forget the 2012 finish, where Jessica Korda won a 6 player playoff? The following year Jiyai Shin and Yani Tseng battled it out down the stretch, with Jiyai coming out on top by 2 strokes. Last year nine players finished within 3 strokes of each other, with Karrie Webb taking home the trophy.

This will be tournament #3 of 33 official tournaments on the 2015 LPGA schedule.

Here are the key details:

Great tournament, tough conditions.  Lydia Ko just has ice in her veins.

I love watching the LPGA.  It seems so much more relevant to my game.  They don't over power courses, but dang are they flag hunters.  A few weeks back I saw more flags get hit than any tournament I have watched recently on the PGA tour.  I find that their personalities are much more entertaining and I have a lot of players I enjoy following.

Was at the international crown last year and that was very cool.  TV just doesn't do them justice.  I kept telling my wife that there is no way I would score worth a darn on the course they were at, but they seemed to hit every narrow fairway and a lot of tough greens.  I look forward to the rest of the year.  At this rate it should be a pretty nice battle among Ko, Inbee, and Lewis for player of the year...not that that is out of the ordinary lately.
