PlaidJacket
I had an email this morning about a new? Master Grip ball. The MG 380E. I don't recall ever seeing this ball on their site before. I've played the NXT Tour-s and liked it. I'd imagine based on playing their Tour C4 that the 380E is a very good ball as well. Anyway, here's what they say on their site. And by the way... Happy Friday!! Get Titleist® NXT Tour® Distance, Spin, and Feel with the MG 380E—Only $9.99 per dozen! You will shoot lower scores than any budget ball you may be playing now, or if you're already playing the Titleist NXT Tour you'll shoot the same scores and save $24.00 on every dozen. (Based on current $33.99 street price.) 3-piece multilayer construction for lower driver spin and high spin with short irons. Soft and thin Surlyn cover (just like the Titleist NXT Tour) with an alignment side-stamp. Best cost/performance value ball. Just as the NXT Tour is regarded by many to be "the poor man's Pro V1," the 380E is an excellent performer for golfers who cannot justify the extra money for a PGA Tour pro level urethane ball (like the Pro V1 or our MG Tour C4). 380-dimple aerodynamic drag reducing design for increased distance. Oversized core gives you maximum energy transfer and distance. Long distance with your driver and irons. Conforms to USGA rules. $9.99 a dozen with a money-back guarantee. (NOTE: Minimum order of 2 dozen balls at this price.) Try them. If you're not satisfied just send them back within 60 days (even if they're used) for a full refund of the product price! My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

fozcycle
Just heard back from Master Grip. Seems they only have a limited inventory so the offer is only for customer they sent the email to. However, they did send me the direct link. http://mggolf.com/BOLT/ This will get you the 380E at $9.99/dozen with a minimum of 2 dozen ordered. S&H is $6, so for $26 you get 2 dozen NXT-like golfballs. It's like BOGO only better. If you order 3 or 4 dozen, the S&H is still only $6 Driver: 0311 XF 10.5* w/Project X Cypher 40 gram Senior shaft or 0811 XF 12* w/Evenflo Riptide CB Senior shaft Fairways: 0211 5W & 7W w/ Evenflo Riptide CB regular shaft and Tour Edge E521 9W w/Fubuki HD50 regular shaft Hybrid: None in bag at the moment Irons: Titleist T300 5-PW w/Fubuki MV Senior graphite shafts w/Golf Pride Tour Wedges: Edison forged 49*, 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). RookieBlue7
Guy I work with played them after I introduced him to the brand a while back. He ordered 15 dozen after the first test dozen. When he went to order more to stock up (he likes having at least 10 dozen at all times) evidently they'd run out and they sent him the same quantity in the Tour C4. He is going to LOVE this news (I got a flyer in the mail yesterday for them and didn't think a thing about it till now). fozcycle
Pulled the trigger and ordered 4 dozen of the 380E's.........@ $9.99/dozen. This ball is an NXT Tour equivalent at less than 1/3 the price of the NXT Tours. If these are anything like the fine quality of the CE Tours, then this is a terrific buy. They are listed on their website anymore because they only have a limited quantity. You will shoot lower scores than any budget ball you may be playing now, or if you're already playing the Titleist NXT Tour you'll shoot the same scores and save $24.00 on every dozen. PlaidJacket
I've played the NXT Tour-s many times and liked it. I'd imagine based on past experience from buying the MG Tour C4 and their gloves that you'll be very pleased with them. I'll be curious about what you think. As a side note I decided after reading the review last night on the main site; to buy a doz. of the Snell-My Tour Ball. Their site says first orders ship March 15th. Hope that includes me. fozcycle
But why didn't MGS include the C4 Tour ball in their "Direct To Consumer Golf Balls" test on the Blog? PlaidJacket
But why didn't MGS include the C4 Tour ball in their "Direct To Consumer Golf Balls" test on the Blog? I really was dum-founded by that omission. They've (MG) been selling direct longer than any of the ones reviewed. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour
Kenny B
As RR said in the Blog, it was probably because the test was for: "What we really want to know is: Are any among this new wave of direct to consumer golf balls worth putting in your bag?" The C4 ball has been around awhile. However, since it fits the parameters of the other balls tested, I would have liked to see it included just because I bought 2 dozen last month!! “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
