Undershooter
Titleist has tons of outlet stores in my area. They are probably the most common golf store around. You all would undoubtedly know them as local pro shops at the courses. It seems like 80% of the clubhouse shops in my area are titleist/ footjoy only. SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 5, 2015 SPY VIP Share Posted March 5, 2015 I'm fairly close to the proposed Livermore CA location. Once it opens, I'll make the drive and report back. Out of the goodness of my heart, of course. Scoring discount golf gear has nothing to do with it. Who really needs a 10.5 white SLDR anyway Volvo Intorqueo All the cool kids follow me on twitter: @GolfspyDave If you are not a cool kid, following me on twitter will make you cool... Hula Rock
Speaking of which I recently visited the Adidas outlet here in South Texas and noticed a lot of AdiZero golf shoes they are trying to dump. 2 dedicated rows, any color, size, etc that you can imagine. I struck up conversation with another guy trying on a pair, he told me that a lot of courses are banning these shoes. While paying my food dues at my course I asked the head pro if he heard about these shoes being banned. To my surprise he said "YES", they tear up soft greens. Anyone have the story on this? It's true. They are murder on soft greens. One of the higher end courses will remove the player form the course if seen wearing them. Hula Rock
.....and I bought 2 pair.... Pro said they are OK, knock on wood, to use down here since the greens roll on the firm side most of the time but they are proactively watching the putting greens for these shoes when conditions get soft after a solid rain.... Severtheties
I just looked at pictures on google as well. Thats bad! Looks like because of the way they are designed the spikes sit on "humps" like soccer cleats. Fivesome
my sons high school golf team wore them last season. They were horrible on soft greens, left marks everywhere. I made my son switch shoes once I saw the damage they caused.
mbrodeur86
I cannot wait to get my Oakleys out on the course. I've heard both good and bad things from the nano spikes and I'm getting a push cart formy birthday this year because I plan on walking my course this year and get my fat a$$ in shape so I hope these shoes hold up. They are so light I a barely notice they are on. Back on topic though, I cannot imagine how pissed some companies must be after they were forced to take a tonne of Tmag equipment. apprenti23
I love it. The industry continues to bury itself into a hole deeper and deeper. Thank you ping and titleist for not following this model. Hopefully when Callaway and tmag go under your successful business practices will continue.
