Stopped in at Edwin Watts on my lunch break to find a 56* PM grind sitting in the used bin. Picked it up an it looks like it had been hit a handful of times at most. At $69 I had to get it.

Yep, I called mine and they don't stock Ping either.  Some do, the one I saw a reciept from was in Arizona.

I can't believe what a club ho I am.  A putter caught my eye today at the muni we were playing, it is a Mizuno (what else?)MP A 308 with a milled face that felt absolutely gorgeous and putted beautifully on the carpet. so what is a club ho to do except buy it.  In my defence I have to say that Mizuno make such quality gear it is hard to resist so I didn't.

I really didn't expect to come back from my trip to the Twin Cities with another set of irons, but I've got to admit that after a range session, I'm really happy I did.  I've never been a "high ball" hitter with irons, but the 5i and 8i I hit at the course were high, straight and long!

 

I know the lofts are "jacked up" one club up from my other irons, but compared the Burner 5i and 8i to my Alpha 4i & 7i, and they still seem to be longer (definitely higher).

 

I'll find out more after my round today, but I may just be gaming these for (at least) the rest of the season!

Picked up an Aldila VS Proto By You 80x for my 3 wood yesterday. Older shaft but has always worked for me. The Diamana D+ and Oban Devotion experiments were not a resounding success for me.

Grabbed an R15 TP 10.5 head on ebay to go with my new Accra FX260. Should be a nice combo.

3 new SCOR wedges from Dallas golf. They arrived last night but don't have the SCOR grip on them, just some generic black thing that will be coming off this arvo and being replaced with my Pure grips.

I just wish I could use it.......Took the day off to play with the Tuesday guys only to find the course was closed....You could Tee off on the Par 3 #8 hole but you could not get to the green from the Tee......way too much water.  So I went home, put on long pants and went to work.

That shaft may be an oldie, but I think it's a goodie, myself.  If it works, it works!

Feels smooth to me an a tighter dispersion than the Diamana that was in it. Not sure it is a long with the Aldila but a nice trade off to get rid of the loose shots.

Traded my TM R1 staff bag for a Scotty Cameron Newport mid slant. Looking to build a putter collection. Only have 4 so far but someday I'll have as many as Jmikecpa. Someday.

New motherboard, liquid cooling system, CPU, ram, SSD, and GPU for my desktop. Sigh it's always something.

Today, after we were rained out, I spent some time in the Pro Shop. Everything was 20% off and there was no sales tax on soft goods. I acquired two Pebble Creek logo shirts (tangerine and sea foam) some golfers skin sunscreen and two dozen last year's Wilson Duos with 35 compression. My cost was about $23 after discounts and $46 in gift cards. The Duos were $12/dozen....WooHoo!

OK, my first putter purchase in 5 years. I have been looking for a heavy head mallet, so I bought a new Cleveland Classic 6 belly putter. It has a 400g head, but it's 41in long. I am going to cut it down to 32in and counterweight it with 200g. My first putter experiment!

Took the kids to Manhattan today to play tourist and stopped at NY Golf Center.  Tried to buy two things and they would not sell them to me.  The first was a Titleist staff bag that had the Camereron logo on the back panel....no dice on that.  The second was the Jordan Speith limited edition Newport that they would also not sell, well they told me they could let it go for $1800.   I said thanks but no thanks at that price.

I was at the PGA Superstore in Paramus NJ to look at the Hogans.  Sweet.  In their used club section, they had a number of used Scors.  Looked virtually identical to the Hogan wedges.  Bought a 43 and 48 to try out at a really good price.  Lately, those two clubs (equivalents) have been the most inconsistent in my bag, so hope to give the Scors a good test.
