I sense a great disturbance in The Force....

 

Four Million Golf Balls Destroyed in Fire

A fire that started at a sporting goods manufacturer and golf ball-recycling facility destroyed about 4 million golf balls and caused more than $2 million in damage Saturday.

Reports say the fire started at Mulligan International in Beloeil, Quebec, at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, and the thick smoke caused a nearby highway to close for several hours.

The company, according to its website, recycles 27 million golf balls per year.

One employee suffered minor injuries.

Not even factoring in anything else like the equipment/furniture/offices and your talking about 50 cents a golf ball. Somehow I think that number is a little on the light side.

Go back again ...says these are recycled golf balls.  Lots of clunkers in there with the ProV's....

Yeah, true. Guess a lot of range balls might be in there.

 

Even 25 cents a golf ball seems a bit cheap especially resale value after equipment which I imagine has to have a good chunk of change of that total loss.
