Suggest me the best Hybrid Iron Club

I cannot honestly answer that question because I have never been able to hit a hybrid in any shape form or fashion of any style or brand. But I will give you another option to consider I carry a 7 wood 21* 9 wood 24* combo that works well for me. I hit a variety of shots with those clubs that works for my game. I will give my honest opinion on how things work for me and from what I have observed from watching and listening to others. You first have to find a particular club that fits your eye. Then you have to find a club that feels good to you. Brand loyalty does not play into this. The newest greatest thing does not play into this either. Both of my Fairways are about 10 years old for example. I have a good friend of mine that is retired and has plenty of money and he buys a lot of equipment. Recently he went back to 2 off brand hybrids I built for him 6 years ago. He said those were the best he ever hit. That is not saying that I am a great club builder or anything because those clubs are not exotic or anything near it but for some reason he hits them good and has confidence in them. The 3 things I stress in order with ANY club is as follows:

1- Eye appeal remember no brand loyalty

2- Feel for you At this time disregard shaft brand and type too because shaft flexes can be jacked around in various ways with tipping and weight. I don't give 2 hoots if it is a $3 Mercury shaft or a high dollar one it is all about feel and shot dispertion

3- Confidence IMHO if you get 1&2 right with practice and rounds under the belt with a particular club you will gain confidence

This is just my .02 worth but you will get other opinions from guys on here that hit hybrids on your specifics. I just wanted to give you my general opinion

Thank you for your honest answer but i have carried 7 wood 21* 9 wood 24* it works fine but I want to try the Hybrid Iron Club. I hope i can get some other suggestions that would help me out

I used to have difficulties with hybrids as well. So I would go straight from a 4i to my 3w (huge gap).

Last winter, I got myself the Adams Idea Super S and LS in 19* to compare.

I've decided to keep the Super LS since the Super S spins too much for me.

For a person who's always hated hybrids, this will be my first season bagging one.

Your mileage may vary :)

Good luck!

There is no such thing the the "best" hybrid club to buy. There may be a "best" for you, but that doesn't mean anything to anyone else. People can give you feedback on what they use. But you have to find what works for you. No one can tell you what will or won't work.

Like I said, no one can tell you that. The only way you can know is try it for yourself. Whether someone else has success or not with it won't mean the same holds true for you.

I have to admit that it's hard to imagine a 3 who hasn't tried a hybrid or doesn't know the pros and cons of one as well as the fact that every OEM makes them and that nearly every player on the Champion's tour and LPGA bags one or more and finally most players on the PGA tour bag one.

Perhaps you made an error with your signature?

At any rate the benefits of a hybrid would be that they are generally easier to hit than the longer irons that they replace and generally easier to control than more lofted fairway woods. Note the use of the word "generally" because results will vary based on the golfer.

In regards to which one is best? That's tough because a lot depends upon your relative strengths and weaknesses. Each OEM offers a hybrid and many offer two types, a player's type that is more "iron" like and a game improvement type that is more fairway wood like. I'm certainly not going to say that this one or that one is "best." I know what works for my game, if I played with you a few times I could recommend a starting point but in the end you need to consult your teacher or knowing your own game find somewhere that you can go to hit some hybrids for yourself.

Generally speaking I would say that it is good for a player to bag at least one hybrid because it creates greater flexibility than having none. Good luck and let us know how your search turns out.

I like the Mizuno MP FLI HI's I have gamed the 2-3-4. The 3-4 are in the bag today. And will probably put the 2 in if it ever dries out. I hit them well, however, I have had others try them and did not hit them well, so other than what works best for me I can't recommend.  The FLI HIs are older so the are cheaper.

The best hybrid iron to buy is probably the one that fits you best. Exactly what that is is anyones guess, but if you really need assistance in finding the right club with an index of 3, then may I suggest a consultation with your local pro in the first instance and then demo as many options as you can. It ain't rocket science, even though sometimes some people make it out to be that way.

the cobra hybrids are nice and easy to hit, you can find one a couple years old for 60 bucks or so, the callaway hybrids are supposed to be really good as well, I dont think any are better than any others, some may be easier to hit than others, but that is personal preference, good luck with your search, but if you dont try a few you will never know which one will work for you.

I'm with everyone else on trying as many different clubs as possible until you find the one that works best for you. Personally I have always had trouble with hybrids, never liked or bagged them. I do however have a Mizuno mph5 1 iron that I love. Very nice "driving iron"

Driver- Tmag 2017 M2 tour issue 8.5* actual loft 7.8* w/ HZRDS Green PVD 70TX"
Fairway Metal- Taylormade SLDR Mini Driver 12* w/ Fujikura Rombax TP95-X"

Utility- Mizuno MPH5 1 iron w/ Aldila RIP 85X (depending on course/ conditions)

          Mizuno MP59 4i-6I w/ PX 6.5

Rookie spoken like a true club ho or as you put it in your signature a "club gigolo". But like I told Stephen in the beginning there are many options and good advice on here. IMHO he has gotten some good sound advice and options from all who posted. Now he has to do as one of my former bosses used to say "now we need to explore our options here"

Nah just figured if he's a 3 like he says he is, he'd at least have an idea about equipment.  So I posted a non-serious answer in a topic that's been posted twice by the same person in 2 sections.

Not sure if you are looking for new or used.  I haven't looked at any for a few years, but I like the TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2 or Jetspeed.  Just my opinion, but the RBZ seems to fly a little higher.  As far as long iron replacement, you will need to try one with your longest iron you plan on keeping.  My longest Ping i20 iron is the 5-iron and I wanted a 4-iron replacement, but distance-wise, the RBZ 5H was the next club for me because the 4H had too big of a gap.  I went with the 5H and 3H.  You can still find new or good used ones for under $100.

Honestly, any brand hybrid will be good if you are looking for a long iron replacement.  It's a matter of what looks and feels good to you.

This is what I'm currently bagging as my hybrid and it's working great for me. However I really don't know that it's the "best" for someone else without knowing their game. Stephen you might look back at some MGS hybrid reviews because you could purchase some older hybrids for very little money.

Just heard or you are sure for that because I need to spend real money on it...have you used it or not?

I have not hit the XR hybrids, but I have played the x2hot hybrids, the x2hot hybrids are one of the better ones on the market, I have been told that the XR hybrids are better than the x2hot hybrids. The best way to figure out what to play is to go hit some of them at your local store, but it seems you are not willing to do that, so there really is no information that any of us can give you, you say you have real money to spend and want to make a good choice, there is only one way to do that, and that is to hit them for yourself. I'm out of the conversation.

I think most of the members think X2 hot hybrid is good so I think I will buy them but before buying I will definitely try them out if fits right I will buy them.Actually @Kor I wanted some suggestions before buying that because if I go without having some knowledge I cant make the right decision. I asked this question so that I can get some idea regarding the brands because people who have used them will better rather than just going out and buy...

4. TaylorMade Speedblade Wedge

5. Cleveland Golf Smart Square Center Shafted Putter

If you like the SLDR fairway wood, you might want to pick up an SLDR or Jetspeed hybrid to keep the Taylormade theme going. I like my RBZ hybrids but the Jetspeed and SLDR are slightly updated. There are good prices on eBay for nearly new clubs; just a matter of finding one with the same shaft as your fairway wood, if you have a stock shaft. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. If it doesn't fit you, it's only $50-100 and you can resell it.
