I've been through my fair share of equipment over the last couple of years, but I'm going to do my best to try and stick with what I have for now (we'll see how long that lasts). A little about myself.. I started playing in late 2010 while in college and got hooked quickly! I've always enjoyed sports and playing golf was a no brainer once I was introduced to it as it's something that I can do for (hopefully) the rest of my life. My current handicap is a 9.5, which hopefully is trending downwards. I was as low as a 9.2 last summer, but a combination of less practice and less playing pushed my handicap back up a bit. Now that Spring and Summer are rolling around I'm hoping to at least get back to where I was last season! Now onto the good stuff.. Driver Titleist 910 D3 8.5* / Diamana Ahina 72x Picked this up at Golfsmith last week actually. Hit it side by side with the 915 and actually got better numbers with the 910. Walked out with it for $56 after taxes! Just received a Tour AD DI 6x that I'll have in this next time I play. I'll get pics shortly! 3 Wood Taylormade SLDR 14* / Fujikura Motore Tour Spec 8.3x I don't hit 3w often, but this thing is an absolute cannon when I can put a good swing on it! Hybrid Taylormade SLDR 17* / Fujikura Motore Tour Spec 9.3s I actually picked this up for $65 online and have played it for a month or so now. It's a cannon! Driving Iron Titleist 712U 18* / KBS C-Taper Stiff This is my favorite club in the bag. I hit it off the tee if the course is pretty dry and it rolls for days! I've hit a handful of shots over 250 with it off the tee, including a couple over 270. It's a beast in the right conditions! Irons Mizuno MP-53's / KBS C-Taper Stiff I had a set of 53's a few years ago and to this day I still don't know why I ever got rid of them! I picked these up a few months ago and I don't think I've ever hit my irons better. Great sticks and a cult classic! Wedges Callaway Mack Daddy 2 (52*/58*) / Wedge Flex Maybe my favorite wedges of all time! I came from the old X Forged to these and I've nothing but good to say about them! Great wedges that perform remarkably well. Putter Odyssey Protype #9 So a few weeks ago I decided to torch this putter and it came out much better than I expected. Definitely a unique finish that actually looks pretty decent. Too bad I can't putt a lick. Also have a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 in the bag. It has been treating me really well as of late so I'm not sure if the Protype will make it back into the bag! Bestgrips Iron/Wood grips / Putter grip / Headcovers So I've been fortunate enough to work with Zach over at Bestgrips some. I picked up a set of their Microperf grips last year and was so impressed that I've also purchased headcover and a Major Leaguer putter grip from them as well. I can't recommend them enough! Zach is great to work with and their products are 1st class! All of the pics.. A few of the pics have been posted below. Just finished uploading some additional pictures (in case some of you don't want to have to browse through my Flickr album). I appreciate the feedback.. My irons are currently in transit to a guy here locally who is going to bead blast the heads to give them more of a satinzed look (bag chatter drives me crazy and it's less apparent with satin irons). I'll let you know after this weekend. Playing 54 holes so I should have a good feel for it afterwards. I'll report back! I've played them previously but it has been a while and my swing wasn't sound enough then for me to have a reasonable opinion on the shaft. I'm hoping it is now! Just got them back from a buddy who bead blasted them for me to give them a sort of satin look. I then did the paintfill and shafted them back up.
