Keithrr
As a 73 year old golfer I have for years struggled with changing the instructors words of instruction to the left hand from the right hand side. For example it would be a big jump for us left handers if instead of right leg they would say leading leg or back leg or leading hand or leading hip or weight transfer to leading side. These are just a few simple suggestion on how to make written or video instructions work for both left handed and right handed golfers. If we left handers can change the instructions from right to left then right handers should be able to understand the term lead or leading or lagging. apprenti23
You must have someone who doesn't teach much or is inexperienced. Those with a lot of experience have taught a lot of lefties! Lead and trailing are two words that you are taught, as an instructor, to utilize and to rarely use the words left or right.
Keithrr
I have had at least 25 instructors in the last 40 years by video or cassette tape or CD or books and have had to substitute left side for right side 99% of the time. If you are an instructor you must be the exception. I can tell you that the most we get is "unless you are left handed" once in awhile. My bet is you are right handed and have never had to think about it. I on the other hand have dealt with it for 40 years. Check it out go online or on TV and listen to some of them.
