apprenti23
Well it seems like everyone and their mother who makes putters nowadays is coming out with an offering similar to the Odyssey #7 design. I'll tell you what, I don't blame them! That winged fang headshape is incredibly popular on the PGA, LPGA, and even your local Manure Tours! I used to be a traditionalist when it came to putting, but realized I sucked and put my ego away with my 8802's and heel shafted TP Mills Putters. Arguably one of the hottest boutique putter makers (Byron, Bettinardi, Etc.) is Piretti Golf. Like most manufacturers they've been around longer than you think, and Piretti is no different. This isn't my first go around with a Piretti putter, but I really like the look of this putter. www.pirettigolf.com Piretti states that the Savona model is one of the newest additions to the Piretti Rev2.0 line. It is a brick on a stick at 375g head weight, and features the highest MOI design. When some people thing of high MOI they liken it to a girl with a "nice personality" in other words- Ugly! Well I think of high MOI as effective! I don't know about you guys, but I'm not spending four hours a day on a putting green working on four footers and forty footers are you? Initial looks are what you expect from a putter at this price point- orig.$355 now 10% off for Father's Day! The high quality milling, soft metal, is a bling factor times ten right? Well this putter doesn't disappoint either. Check it out! Piretti calls this finish "Titanium." I'm not 100% sold on it just yet. I prefer matte or flat black finish and can't stand any glare from putters. There is a slight polish to this particular finish. I'll be sure to test it out midday on the next sunny day we have. Upon further review, I'm interested in the cavity milling. Idk if this is on purpose or just happenstance but the milling of the Piretti logo in the cavity looks like it still needs to be cleaned up, maybe just me but look at the pic! Very awesome design makes it a no brainer for alignment. I've always used the top line to align putters perpendicularly to my target and wish that this didn't have a flange line. IMO it should be a top line sight or no sight! But with this model it doesn't really matter. The headcover is an awesome ballistic nylon made by Rose & Fire. If you haven't heard of them, www.roseandfire.com makes some high quality nylon golf head covers and accessory bags. They are also used by a few other makers, Kingston included. Very interested in getting this bad boy out to my local course and putting it through the paces and review!

apprenti23
Unfortunately I don't think the sun has shined since it was setting a couple days ago when I took these pics... It is finally starting to heat up in Chicagoland and that means off and on thunderstorms... Oh well, if not this weekend, maybe next week. Does anybody use a Piretti?
