My latest Aquisition - Ping Scottsdale ZB S

I was poking around the Pro Shop at my club today checking out stuff and noticed there were a bunch of Ping putters in a bag that weren't there the last time I was poking around.  Apparently the Ping Rep had sold my club Pro several of his demo stock putters at a really good price and this putters were on sale for $100 each.  That's not a bad price here in Australia for a Ping especially that can go for anything up to $250-$285.  My putting has been pretty crappy of late and it has to be the putter that's broken - right?  Of course it is.  Having said that the only way to remedy a broken putter is to put it in the cupboard and buy a new one - right?  Of course it is.  As a result I seem to have a large collection of broken putters that occasionally fix themselves whilst doing penance in the cup board and redeem themselves.  Sadly because there was a purge that somewhat lessened the collection recently thanks to a cranky wife complaining about the putters that fell out of the cupboard when she opened the door I don't have a putter that fixed itself to remedy my putting ills hence the ZB S.

I noticed that while I was putting the ZB S through its paces this afternoon it has a very small alignment/aiming mark.  As soon as I started putting with it I started to hole putts.   Also when I've chosen putters in the past I've often picked putters that have large aim/alignment marks. Prior to putting with the ZBS I had been trialling a Ping PickMeUp that had quite large lines etc and missing quite badly with it.  So it was a surprise that the ZB S with its tiny little aiming mark just started to sink putts.  Breaking putts, straight putts, up hill and down hill putts. Being ex military and a shooter I am familiar with the concept aim small miss small but I wondered today if smaller more discreet aiming marks might assist with that principle too.  I guess it will all come out in the wash the more I use it but I haven't been this excited about a putter since I bought the last one

There are some bitchin putters in this forum and the thread from Machine putters makes my mouth water when I look at the pictures in it.  My new addition by comparison seems quite plain, I guess it is what it is.  I'm excited though so thanks for reading and enjoy my bad photography :)
