I don't think a tesla is as fast as a hellcat. You're talking 700 HP

Tesla is 691 hp, FWIW.  Supposedly, the Hellcat driver bought wider rear tires, said he had been practicing and wanted a rematch with the Tesla.  I dont recall what ever happened though.

Youve got to consider, electric motors produce peak torque right off the line, so in a drag race, if the power is the same, an electric will win every time, assuming you can put the power to the ground.

Hellcats actually arent that quick because theyre so heavy.

I have driven the Charger and Challenger in the Hellcat version and would not agree that they are really not that quick.  For a sheer production car it is pretty darn impressive and a brute that puts my 450 HP Charger to shame.  In comparison to my 88 Mustang LX with a worked 351 and a blower it is really not that quick.
