Hmmmmn I think there are not enough letters in the alphabet for Tigers game at the moment and I think Rickie's head is still in Scotland but you never know.  I'm going to stick my neck out and tip Jason Day to go back to back.  Hang on though is he even in the field, hang fire I'll be back...

I am going out on a limb and say that Tiger doesn't make the cut.  So, after this week he will only play 2 more rounds this year... at the PGA Championship.

He did shoot 68 but pretty sure with no wind and a soft course I could have shot a similar number....never thought Tiger and I would have the same chance to win this week.

 

Old school TaylorMade hats are really neat looking. Justin Rose with a mallet putter looks really odd though.

I really haven't liked the shirts that Tiger is wearing with the stripe down the back. What's with that?

 

I can only think of one thing that has a stripe down its back, and it doesn't smell good.

I didn't get to watch but 68 and t27 isn't that bad guys. Did he look awful or something. He made a lot of birdies. Am I missing something?

He is big into spine angle. I'm sure it's some crazy crap so he can see exactly how he looks on video. Personally I don't like it either

Very painful to watch, then bounced back.

Wow two 63's for the leaders, that's a pretty good start for sure.  I wouldn't mind seeing Retief Goosen maintain his form and winning but I don't think it'll happen somehow.  In lieu of Jason Day not being in the field I have to go for Justin Rose backing up and defending.  He is a surprise package that lad and often seems to sneak up on the field out of nowhere and -5 is a good start so go you good thing!

Retief and Ryo would have so many wins if PGA tour events were only 2 days :)

 

Tiger needs to be like Jack in 80-86. Played less than minimum events, but was in top 5 GIR and top 5 in total driving. Jack only won 4-6xs though because he putted terrible.

Nope, he's not back by a long way but is certainly showing signs that he might have a handle on things again.  Watching his putting in yesterdays telecast it was a thing of beauty.  What a pure stroke he has when it is right.  Sitting tied third I think he'll have the rest of the field wondering for sure.  Ricky was very workman like on the back nine just getting the job done with no fan fare just very good golf.

 

What about Ishikawa pouring putts in from everywhere.  I remember him doing  the same thing in the President's Cup.  He is just an awesome putter when he's got it going.  It sure looks like he might have it going at the Quickens that's for sure.  One thing is for sure I think I'm going to have to revise my pick for winner at this rate! :blush:

Tiger just hit a tee shot 40 yards right of the fairway, they showed the tee shot from behind and as soon as he hit it, it went straight up on the air and right, it was horrible, I thought to myself, I don't wven hit them that far off line, he needs to put the driver away, or stop trying to move the ball so much and just play the straight or straighter shot. 254 off the tee. Horrible.

Thanks for mentioning someone other than Tiger and I like Tiger. I'm just tired of watching him embarras himself and his memory to the point that I had to argue whether or not he had a better career than Byron Nelson.

 

How about Ricky, perhaps he won't be over rated this week.
