mizuno_lover
I've never really been much enamoured with Bubba. He has always struck me as a bit of a hay seed chewing hick who didn't know much about anywhere except his own back yard. He of course never helped his image with some of his behaviour and some of the things he was quoted as saying the first time he visited Europe seemed to confirm in my mind that he was in fact exactly what I thought he was and someone here on the forum said it all and that was that Bubba was a tool! I'm happy to say that I watched an interview on Golfing World here where he was talking about his win in the Bridgestone WGC in China and he actually came across as an Confident, intelligent, self assured and well spoken good ambassador for the game. I know I forget at times that these guys have no training and are often thrust into the spotlight by virtue of their talent with a golf club and not their personality. There are those that are naturally gifted when it comes to talking on camera and some not so much. There are some that are painfully shy and a lot of them are comparatively kids. So I've made a mental note not to be so judgemental - they'll get two chances My Bag Driver: G25 Stiff shaft3 Wood: JPX 850 16 degree. Kor.A.Door
He seems to be a guy rhat when put in front of an interview camera does very well, but for me the way that he treats fans at tournaments on and off the course is very unprofessional and 2 faced, because he says one thing in front of the camera during the interviews, but acts totally different when on the course. mizuno_lover
It's always disappointing to hear that Kor A Dor. WHat sort of things does he do? I'm surprised the golf media over here hasn't bought it into the light - they love to do that here. Ian Baker Finch was renound for being two faced and a tool over here. RoverRick
The French got all hot and bothered because he called The Louvre, the museum with the pyramid. Keep in mind, he would refer to the famous Paris Theatre as "the picture show". Haha. I think Bubba is probably a childish dolt that has a phenomenal talent and spent most of his formative years beating adults on the golf course vs learning how to deal with life. I don't think he is two faced or means ill-will towards anyone, just that he does not socialize well off the golf course, because he has never been off the golf course. Doesn't mean I don't like him. Yes, I remember that incident with the French Rick and it did make me cringe at the time. There's no doubting his talent with a golf club and I have heard a rumour that he has something akin to adult ADD or some such. My Bag Driver: G25 Stiff shaft3 Wood: JPX 850 16 degree. My dad had a cure for ADD, but don't think it is politically acceptable. However, it certainly cure any deficit in the amount of attention I paid.
