I was at the range about a week ago when I hit my last ball. I have a pocket with crap balls in my bag and I wanted to leave on a good one. So I pull out a Tommy Armour ball with a big red X drawn on it. Smoke it right down the middle and leave feeling fulfilled. 

 

Fast forward to yesterday, I pour out my large bucket, roll a ball over and lo and behold its a Tommy Armour with a big red X drawn on it. 

 

What are the chances? Not great I'm guessing.

Classic!  Makes ya wonder doesn't it.  I do the same thing at my home course and wonder how many of the non yellow range balls are ones that I've sent down range.

Did you smoke it down the middle the second time? If you did, find some more and put a big red X on them.

I found 5 dozen brand new Rock Flite balls in the trunk of a junked car at work. Still in the boxes Why could they have not been new Srixon Soft Feels? They had the Wells Fargo bank logo on them. Threw them in the back of my truck where they sat a few weeks along with the other junk I tote around on occasion. One day the clubhouse was closed because the GM and Pro had went out to play and I wanted to hit balls. So I used those. I always still get one when I get a bag of balls now.
