Best Shot that never Happened

I was just curious what everyone story is for their best shot while playing alone. Nobody saw it happen so it doesn't actually count like a hole in one.

 

 

Personally I was playing a long Par 4 about 408 yards #1 handicap hole (#15) at the Purple Hawk in Cambridge MN. I was on the left side of the fairway about 130 out middle pin. Rolled it right up and in looked around and didn't even celebrate because I was alone on my hole looked around the course basically no one around. Just walked to the green with a big smile and went on to the next hole.

I worked at a course growing up and when all the carts were in I would click out and play a few holes before dark. One night I was playing #7 217 yards water from the front all the way around the right side. I hit a 4 iron right at the flag but couldn't see it land. I get up there and figure it went in the water so I drop one hit it to 6 ft putt with the flag in. I make the putt go to grab my ball out and it's resting against my first ball.

Fortunately my three best shots, double eagle and two hole in ones all came with witnesses.  I've certainly had a few hole outs from the fairway for eagle that were when I was playing solo.

Two of my five aces came without witnesses.  When I was in the army we had Wednesday afternoon sports days.  If there was no work to do as such you got the afternoon to play your chosen sport.  Mine was golf.  I aced the  second hole at the club I where I had joined.  I was playing by myself so I headed back to work to tell a few people that knew me what had happened, Share the joy as it were.  The first question they asked was "Did anybody see it?"  My answer of course was "No".  "It didn't happen then" was the rapier like reply.  The second time was another practise round no one with me but four ladies in the group in front saw it.  But I figured it was practise any way and no one would believe me and it felt pretty much like the other one..

That's what I'm afraid of Miz. Getting the hole in one with no one around so it didn't happen. Almost holed out from 240 once on a par 5 I was pretty excited about my tap in eagle till I remembered I had to punch out because I landed right behind a tree.

Only played one time in my life by myself and nothing spectacular happened...... played like crap on purpose...  LOL!  just so I wouldn't have "the greatest shot that never happed"

I rattled off two straight birdies while playing alone... but mostly it's chip ins and the like that would be considered great shots for me. I play at least 2/3 of my rounds on my own.

I used to be that way now its almost all loner golf .

I've never had the luck with this unfortunately. Would work well in Japan though as a hole in one is an expensive luxury there

If you can find a course in Japan to let you play as a single. The courses where I was stationed you had to have at least 2 or you couldn't play and they won't pair you with other groups

Great timing on this one. I played Saturday by myself, and I was only one of three on the course. On 3, I hit a one hopper in the hole for a hole in one. Not witnesses. The funny part is no one questioned me. They all knew me too well to know that I'd never fake it.

Was studying years ago. Decided to take a break and play 9. Played 1-2 by myself. Caught up to a twosome on #3 and joined them. And aced it. Sooooo lucky to have had witnesses. So in this case, it almost didn't happen. My only one....so far.

Well it finally happened and I was alone. Hit my Hole in One with just about no one around a guy was cleaning the porta-potty by the tee but when i asked him if he saw it he said no and asked if i had lost my ball..  Hit it about 12 feet pst the hole and pulled the string back in. Using my 52* GW
