I'm thinking of wearing an aloha shirt for golfing.   Does the shirt allow enough movement for your shoulder and arms?  

 

do they make aloha shirts especially for golfing?

Not that I'm aware of......BUT  you can always buy one in a larger size to give you more room.

I've worn many times (but not this summer for some reason) those silk front button Tommy Bahama style shirts when playing. I had no problem what so ever. Zero restriction. I thought they were quite cool (not that kind of cool) to wear during summer heat. It's funny, I was the first that I recall wearing them around our course. Then as the season rolled along I started seeing more of them being worn. For a dapper guy like myself it was nice to see guys emulating the Plaidjacket style.

As a guy who grew up in Hawaii, I think a Tommy Bahama shirt would be better fit for lounging around the club house in than playing 18 holes in. 

 

But if it's a casual Friday round with your friends and you're just enjoying a beverage and squeezing in a few holes - I think it would be a cool option!

...not to hijack the post or anything, but thinking about restriction and what the guys in the early 1900's used to wear.  Especially those in "tweed" jackets.  Cannot imagine how hard it was to swing in those things!

Rather than button down, try these Aloha print polo shirts. They are cotton blend and breathable, and they shouldn't give you trouble with swinging your clubs in.
