913f vs 915fd

Anyone on here move from the 913 fairway line to the 915 fairway line? I got fit for the 915D3 this year as well as the 915fd and the results with the fd have been mixed at best. The face always looked a bit closed to me even in the D1 setting which should be about 1.5 open. I picked up a 913f Friday night and just put it down next to the 915fd with the same settings and the 913 just looks far more open. Hit it on the range this evening and I already have more confidence in it just by looks. Haven't been playing much these days so a 3 wood off the deck was going to have mixed results for me at best anyway. Are my eyes deceiving me or has anyone else noticed a change in face angle between these two lines?

As a side note I do like the look of the 913 hybrids over the 915 and will have them in my bag next week when I head to FL for vacation.

I never liked the FD heads because I prefer a shallow face fairway wood. It just make me feel more confident. It's not just the 915 FD that looks closed if you grab a 913 FD it will look the same.

Did not even consider that it could be the f vs the fd that could be the difference. You would think that the fd would not look closed as it is for the "better player." Now I may understand why the vast majority to Titleist staffers play the f version of the fairway woods.

I wouldn't say it's for better players but for high launch high spin players or player that hit it off the tee more then the fairway. I played the 13.5F in the 910 and 913 series and loved them. The only reason I didn't get the 915 is because I am in love with my Tour Issue Bio Cell+

FD series is for the guy who wants maximum distance through high launch and low spin. The HD hybrid is lower spin but actually has more offset than the H hybrid.

I've found Titleist drivers good options for those who dont fight having too much spin. The fwy woods good for those who are not steep, and hybrids really good for all players but especially those who want to fit their hybrid to a specific yardage gap- very consistent.

Agree 100% on the hybrids.  Was a bit mixed on the 913h but now that I got the right shaft in it the club is just money.  I have the hd in my 23* and the offset really does not bother me at all.  The feature that I like about these most is that I can get them a degree over what I need and then open the head to get the loft that I want.  Look great at address and take the thought of a hook out of the equation for me.

I had the X2hot 3 deep in the bag before the fd and was really convinced that I would like the club a lot, just never got comfortable with it at all.  Second range session this AM with the 913f and I have to say that I like it a lot so far.  Will see when I play in FL next week how the results on the course compare to the range.
