GolfSpy Barbajo
I second Barbajo and say Wolf Creek is a must play along with Coyote Springs which is about 45 minutes from Mesquite. I don't know about stay and play deals in Vegas but I know Mesquite has some. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app The JW Marriott has package deals with TPC Vegas and I think Angel Park. The Rio has connections to Rio Secco...after that, not so sure. May also want to look at Bear's Best - 18 of Jack's best holes from courses west of the Mississippi. Hell of a lot of fun! Kenny B
Bumping this thread... no posts since March. My wife and I are headed to Central Oregon for 5 days of golf starting May 9. I love that area!! Beautiful scenery and great golf courses. I'm still planning a short 3-4 day trip to British Columbia north of Spokane this summer. Good value with the strong US dollar. I just booked our winter golf vacation for 2017 in Phoenix January 29 - February 11 if anyone wants to join us. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

PlaidJacket
Just completed my first trip of the year. Me and three buds went to Austin. We played Wolfdancer over close to Bastrop and then the next two days played the two Fazio courses - Canyons and the Foothills at Barton Creek. All three were great. But, the Fazio courses at Barton Creek were just awesome. If you ever get in the area I highly recommend any and all of these courses. Pricey? Yes. But as is many times.... you get what you pay for in golf. These Two Fazio's are top caliper PGA tour quality courses. PlaidJacket
Hula, I thought the course was in great shape. It was my first time to see-play the course. The day we were there (last Friday) the course was being prepared for the State 5A championship. The fairways were in nice condition as were the greens. The greens were perhaps a tad slow for my liking but I understand due to the upcoming tournament. They still putted good. On a scale of 1-5 I'd rate it at 4 only because of the time of year and the semi-slow greens. I heard they will aerate the greens in May. You might want to check up on it. PlaidJacket
Blue, I've been to Bandon. Once; and yes... it's freaking awesome. I think Kenny has been more than once. For me it was like nothing I'd ever experienced before. I don't have pictures to post right now or I would. I went several years ago before I became a member of MGS. If you ever get the chance don't pass it up. Personally, I'm more of a park-land type of player where the fairways are tree lined and the grass is lush. However, Bandon is one of a kind and all serious players and or students of the game need to experience it at least once. It's cooler than cool. It's only a few hours down the road from here. And yet I haven't been in about 4 years. It is extremely difficult for me to pay the rack rate of $290-$310 during the prime golf months, and my game is never in shape enough to enjoy traveling there in Nov - Jan for $75 rounds.
