I've got 6 cases of balls (all urethane) sitting around, but I just have to give these a go. Just wish I could find them by the sleeve...

Pro shops around here all carry the Prov1x and then junk balls. Maybe some bridgestones, if you're lucky.

I finally had the opportunity to play the new Wilson Staff Duo-U today and I liked it. The ball felt very good to me off driver, irons, and putter. I might have lost a little yardage but the court is still out right now. I didn't make any effort to measure any drivers on well struck shots. However, I thought I found my shot a few yards back in the fairway from where I normally play from. Wind and or course conditions didn't have any effect. I played the same ball all day and the cover held up well. I never hit a tree or path. The ball didn't chew up on irons either. The cover was somewhat dulled after my round but I guess that's to be expected. Around the greens the ball performed well. No better or worse than any other ball I play such as PV's, Snells, MG Tours, TM Tour Preferred, Chrome Soft, etc. Will I play the Duo-U some more? Sure. Will it become my new gamer? Not sure. The distance thing I still have to work out.

Right now my 3 favorite balls are Chrome Soft, MG Tour, and Snell.

Today I rate the Wilson Staff Duo-Urethane  * * * *  stars out of five.

I haven't noticed a loss of distance off the drive Then again I really haven't hit the driver consistently enough to notice. I just can't get past how great the feel is with them.

My wife and I had our anniversary a couple of weeks ago.  We got married on the first tee of our old golf course, turned around after saying "I do" and teed off.  The course was open for anyone to play all day long.  Since we are both golf nuts, we don't do much for our anniversary except play golf, and usually get a small gift that is golf related.  I was about to order the new Snells, when my wife gave me a dozen Wilson Duo Urethanes.  So, for the past week I have been playing them, and I must say they are nice.  They have a definite soft feel to them and work well around the green.  They seem to fly about the same as the Snell MTB and are a lot quieter off the driver.  I'll will still order the Snell MTB but I'll keep playing the Duo-U until they are gone or worn out.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I got two rounds out of the first Duo U and liked every bit of it.....only one little scuff and still very playable. Distance was average, approach shots to green were spot on and putting was soft.  I like it.
