Actually my back has been a little shaky lately since I haven't been able to golf and keep it loose. So my swing was toned down a little. Caught it a little high on the face but not terribly bad. The balls at the simulator were pretty hard. But I had only played one simulated round and a few swings at 2nd swing for shaft fitting. I think we were on 2nd or 3rd hole when it blew out. I was really liking how the ball was coming off the face until that last swing. Then I just heard a rattle and thought that was weird. Then saw the damage.image.jpeg

There's not a weld, it's adhesive where te carbon fiber meets metal. Callaway had the problem with their first composite crown, the M1 has the issue as well. Evidently, so does the Cobra King

It's taken any company a little bit to perfect the composite crown. Took Callaway a couple tries. These are the first Cobra composite crowns I believe and the M1 is TMag's first composite crown.

Not sure Callaway ever got it right.  I have cracked the head on every composite driver from the FT-3 onwards.  Finally gave up on them.  Still have the Optiforce 440 and BB Alpha, but did not play them long enough to break them.

Little update. Got the new driver they sent it in stiff flex when original was x flex, but doesn't matter only sent the head back so now I have a brand new goody bag (holds wrench and port adapter) and a stiff flex shaft to go along with my originals.
