Shaft Selector App

Recommended Posts

So, I received an email today that highlighted an app I'd never heard of before called "shaft selector". It has sections for wood shafts, hybrid shafts, iron shafts, etc. I was skeptical as usual, but downloaded and tried it. Using my known specs for my driver, the shaft I was actually fit with was one of the selections. Who knew? If you're thinking of new shafts, and want some easy input as a starting point, this might work. App appears to be compatible with Apple and Android. Let me know what y'all think.

Okay.... forget everything I just said. Went BACK in, looking for a different shaft, and they want you to register, (which is fine, but a pain) AND PAY $2.99. #pissoff

I just bought the new fujikura xlr8 shaft from fairway jockey via eBay and he was excellent, made the shaft exactly to my specifications, great club maker. The product is from fairway jockey. Highly recommend

Yup I love how once you have your code, the price range is crazy for shafts that do the same thing. My grafalloy prolite cost me $80 for shaft, tip and grip. My buddy spent 500 on his fancy shaft only to now be hitting first on approach shots when we play together.

Shop smart and you'll be rewarded.

How is purchasing a grafalloy prolite shopping smart?

Buying a shaft at such a low price that performs as well or better than shafts that cost 300-500 dollars is smart shopping.

Paying more than $5 for that shaft is not smart shopping. Great shaft, but not in 20 years.

A classic you say lol.

  • 3 weeks later...

What I really like about the golfworks tool is the top wood and iron shafts they recommended for me are the ones I'm playing in my current driver and irons. I actually really enjoy the shafts I'm using and think they give me great numbers, so this tool looks like a winner to me.
