Bryan S
Has anyone posted a review on this? I read the MGS review and am interested to see some feedback. I'm still rockin a 2014 Callaway Apex Util 2 Iron 18 deg and am intrigued to say the least in this release. Any info is appreciated even if its limited. ~^~
Just got the Cobra King F6 Hybrid 2/3. With Matrix Ozik Altus HQ4 stock shaft. Goes from 16 - 19*. Seems to fly low and very straight set at 16* with my shallow swing. My driver SS is 90-95 avg, and the 2H at 16* goes about 200. Only played 18 holes with it. I reset it for 17.5*. Will update later.
~^~
Hit a few shots on the range with the 2/3H set at 17.5*. I would call the trajectory medium-low, just a little higher than at 16*, still a nice boring traj. Still carries around 200 with range balls, not sure on the course with real balls. For me, tends to pull left, but swing correctly was able to go in the right direction. Seemed easier to control than my Cobra BioCell+ Fwy Wood set at 16*. It will take some time to get used to this new hybrid.
chisag
... I only have a few rounds with the King Utility but so far I am very impressed. Playing the Rogue Black in it and it is a great driving iron producing a mid-high trajectory with plenty of roll. As a 3 iron replacement I put it a little forward in my stance and it produces a high trajectory that that lands softer if needed or same position as on the tee into the wind or trying to get close to a par 5 in two. Started out at 18.5* but found 19.5* works best for me. Awesome feel, smooth and very dense for a hollow head. ... Loved it the very first time I used it. Hit it 305 and on the fringe of a drivable par 4. Probably carried it 225 but it landed square on a cement yardage marker bouncing a good 10 feet in the air. I thought this might be a keeper. fozcycle
Pix would be nice.......am currently reviewing the King F6 irons. I really like the 4 iron hollow body, similar to the utility.
