KMPG Women's PGA Championship Preview, Pairings, and Much More

This week the LPGA travels to the state of Washington for the the playing of the KMPG Women's PGA Championship. This is the second Major Championship of the season. It is also the start of an extremely important part of the 2016 LPGA schedule that will include 3 Major Championships and the UL International Crown in the next 8 weeks.

Sahalee is a great venue for this major.  I think it will be interesting to see who rises to the top on the weekend.  I'm planning on being there!!

You will have a great time.  Took my family to the event last year when it was at Westchester CC.  My girls had an awesome time.

This will be my second LPGA major.  I saw Morgan Pressel win at the 2007 Kraft Nabisco in Rancho Mirage, CA.  I wouldn't say that Morgan won the tournament as much as Suzann Pettersen folded like a cheap suitcase.

Nice.  I took my son to the US Women's Open at Saucon Valley in 2009 and again in 2013 at Sebonack.  Missed out last year at Lancaster CC since we had a wedding that he and I were in that week.  As you may imagine he is also a bit of a golf nut.

 

Side note while at Sebonack he was getting an autograph from Natalie Gulbis and he just looks up like a lost puppy dog and tells her "wow, you are pretty."

Nothing like his old man. He had more of a shot at picking her up than I ever would. He also has more game at 10 than I ever did. He already has his local beach girlfriend, school girlfriend and country club girlfriend.

Followed Brittany and Lydia for a few holes today.  Large crowds and difficult to get in good positions to watch this group.  Awesome golf!  Brittany just bombed her drive right down the middle of the fairway, 40 yards past most everyone on #18 except Henderson.  These girls are good!

 

Won't be there tomorrow.  My wife and I are playing golf with the jazz musician who got a minister's license and married us on the golf course 9 years ago.
