Ouch--stress fracture in foot

Been fighting a sore foot since beginning of March. Last Monday, felt a little more sore than usual. Tuesday, day after Tropical Storm Colin, was a cart paths only day. Spent all day slogging through slop and up and down steep hills. Really aggravated things.

 

Mayo Clinic today. Stress fracture. Rest, don't "stress" the foot for 6 to 8 weeks. Ouch! Said golf would be verboten in his recommendation. Ouch!

 

Don't know if that will happen. If it improves a bit, I may blue flag it (handicap carts). Thing is, it doesn't hurt at all during the golf swing.

 

Any secret therapies to speed healing??

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.

Buttermilk. Not lying. My oldest broke his metatarsal playing soccer in high school. It was a miracle cure. Wore regular shoes and danced the night away at Prom three weeks later.

Sorry to hear that.  I'd say rest is the best option.  Not doing so may lead to complications and a longer recovery.  You can always take up knitting.   :)
