Remember your first time on a course? My 6 and 7 year olds tee up today for 3 holes in their junior program. Ahh summer days if only to be a kid again.......

I was 8 years old and was to begin my summer as my Grandfather's caddy at the newly opened Juniper Hills Golf Club in Frankfort, KY. From that moment on, I caddied every week for my grandfather when he played with his regular foursome.  He taught me the rules of the game and more importantly, the etiquette that accompanied playing with others.

I was 10 don't remember the name of the course but it was in Hamden CT. I had been hitting golf balls for about a year and a friend of mine who played invited me to come with him. I was terrible and I couldn't wait I could play again. I didn't really get good at golf until I quit playing baseball in my junior year of college. I showed flashes but got really good once I had time to play regularly.

I can remember walking 9 with my dad. I was little, I would hang on the bag and ride it while he walked the last few holes. It was a push cart. I also remember my first 9 hole score of 112. That man has some patience.
