I wanted to apologize to our Ohio contingent. I'm at Deer Creek lodge for a conference but I am literally tied up every moment as I'm the chaplain. When I'm not leading a service I'm hearing a confession or counselling. The weather and setting are spectacular.

Wait a minute Mr. Theoo - what hospital and why?  You need to PM me, I'm the chaplain for a conference with 100 church workers at it - we would be happy to pray for you or for whoever it is from your family that is going at tonight and tomorrow's service.

Retrospective apologies as well. I just spent a wonderful weekend in Columbus visiting my son (returned Monday). Golf had been on the agenda, but got submarined by the stress fracture in my foot. But got to experience a lot of the quite interesting Columbus dining and beverage spots in the High Street, Short North, German Village, Yard, etc. I've not seen a more vibrant central city area other than major metros. Also our first MLS game. I was really impressed. Just no golf. We'll definitely be back there again with a healed foot!

Thurman's is a wonderful restaurant, we get it for lunch some days. One of my guys actually took down the Thurmanator..

 

Glad you enjoyed Columbus! Head back up during football season for some more vibrant city life on high street.

Have any of you Ohio guys been to Deer Creek State Park? What a great place. The course looked really nice. I killed me Not to play. I did putt and chip a bit. Bent grass or Poa is so different from Bermuda and other warm weather grasses. I had no trouble pitching it out of fairly high grass. That doesn't happen in Florida in the summer, you need to play it like a trap shot and hope for the best.

I remember being part of a First Tee program at Cook's Creek(I think that's the name). I still remember my Dunlop lefty blades that I won from the First Tee tournament. I actually played lefty then, but I switched to righty about 4 years ago.

Cooks and it's 600yd number 16 is always an enjoyable course, although it's been a bit since I have played out there.

 

You've got to enjoy year round golf a bit more than what we get to experience up here.

That's it!! I wish I was down there to play a round with you. I still live in Ohio...plan is to be down there for good in the next 5 years.

Got it well let me know when you are visiting. The Don is quite the place. My wife and I stayed there for our 30th wedding anniversary . The husband of one of our teachers uses to be the GM before he moved on to a property in the Bahamas. He got us a suite at his cost. It was incredible.

That's an understatement. Once Foz gets back from Kentucky we should arranged an outting somewhere I between. Perhaps around Sebring., some place like that.
