I think it's a Ix but regardless the fact that he doesn't use a Callaway ball has put him at the top of my list of favorite plaers the last few seasons.

 

Mickleson/Stenson on Sunday at the Rider Cup is a must.

INCREDIBLE... it was like to 2 boxers going blow for blow and not one giving an inch.

 

Henrik was overdue and I'm very happy he came out on top.  

 

Phil was about as gracious in losing as possible.  He seemed genuinely happy that Stenson won.

 

I read a stat this morning that Phil would have won 141 of 145 opens with his final score.

Amazing...  he just crushes that club.  I thought I heard Miller say that he hit it over 300 on 18 when it almost went into the bunker.

Yeahhh I couldn't believe that either. They went from talking about how he'd really have to be amped up to get it there to talking about how fortunate he was not to go in

I don't argue with a man whose favorite club is a 5+ year old 3 wood.

 

For those who were asking, yes it's a Callaway Diablo Octane Tour strong 3 wood. He also plays nothing but ancient and very inexpensive graffaloy blue shafts in his all his fairway woods. Apparently he has a stash of them.

As for the 3+ wood, he's tried replacing it a few times but it never seems to stick for more than a few weeks.

My son has that Graffaloy blue X shaft in his driver - I got it for him when he was a Senior in college so it's 10 years old or there abouts.

Yep they don't make them anymore either. Stenson has "a stash of them in his loft."
