Looks like the USA Team is struggling in Rio today.....I've been watching at work (streaming from Golf Channel) and it appears that Team USA can't putt.

 

I sure hope they can resurrect the ship tomorrow because as of right now, the ship is sinking.

I've watched off and on today.  I know Fowler got off to a horrible start 4 putting the first green a par 5.  Bubba struggled but ended with a birdie.   Kuchar had a solid back nine.

 

Hopefully they feel more comfortable tomorrow, still a long way to go until Sunday though.

The Olympics!  Golf's ultimate Big Break for golfers not eligible for the majors.  Gold medal winner is in next 4 majors.  Doesn't get any more Big Break than that.

Thinking the golf in this Olympics has been a big success. Course was great and the players made it exciting. I hope in 4 yrs the pga tweaks the schedule so our top players can play instead of using a virus as an excuse.

I have to say. I think the golf turned out better than I expected. I really didn't know what to expect, but the course, the fans and the players all came through.

 

What more could you hope for than 3 of the top players in the world taking home the medals.

I had a rain delay on my round and watched the last few holes. Great finish and any tournament would be happy with a Rose, Stenson, Kutcher top 3. Tremendous shot by Rose on 18. Great win, he wanted to be there, I'm happy for him.

It was great golf and a great finish, especially for Kuchar to make a showing for the USA.  However, unlike swimming, gymnastics, track, etc.  where the best in the sport were there, the best in golf were missing.  Maybe in 2020 in Japan the outcome will have a different meaning for the world of golf.
